Welcome!

UI 2005 was another roaring success. The mood on the exhibit floor was very upbeat, with visitor traffic at times almost to the point of congestion. It appears that many of the long discussed offshore projects are finally moving beyond the planning and into the procurement stage and it was visible in the attitude of the suppliers.

Some of the discussion panels were extremely well attended. A few of the papers were standing room only. Attendance at MTS Committee meetings was higher than it has ever been and we are already looking forward to 2006.

Below Sea Level, and Above Expectations.............
That statement sums up the Annual Underwater Intervention 2005 Conference, held in New Orleans Louisiana in February. There were attendees representing every continent except Antarctica, and nearly every State in America. The Technical papers and Panel group discussions were the most memorable, interesting, and well attended ever.
It is obvious through the success of UI '05 that the World is interested in, and wants to know about, Underwater Operations, and the myriad means, and mechanisms, available to achieve their goals. From the latest editions of Commercial Diving Helmets, and Super-heavy Work class ROV's capable of working in over 3,000 meters of water, to Industry Icons and inventors, and every thing in between; if there was a need for specialized underwater intervention equipment or expertise, it was there.
Exhibitor booth space for next years UI 2006 event is filling up quickly, with over 60% of the available booths already taken. Don't be left at the dock on this, while the rest of us are................ below sea level, and above expectations, in New Orleans.
